On June 16 at approximately 2:55 p.m. on the 31100 block of 3rd Ave., officers received a call regarding two juvenile females fighting at the bus stop. Upon arrival, both children were confronted. It was determined that the children began calling each other names and then physically fighting after they were dropped off by the school bus. Officers met with both children and their parents to come up with a solution to the problem. After a lengthy meeting, both children apologized to each other and agreed to become friends.

On June 13 at 6:10 p.m. on the 30700 block of 229th Pl. SE, an officer was dispatched to a telephone harassment complaint. The male had met a female for coffee two weeks prior and now she was contacting him constantly via phone calls as well as texting messages after being told to stop. Attempts were made to contact the female by phone, but were unsuccessful. The male decided he did not want to press criminal charges at this time.

On June 12 at 8:27 a.m. on the 30800 block of 229th Pl. SE, officers were dispatched for several males seen around a vacant home. Officers contacted the males and found they were contractors replacing the roof.
Covington
On June 17 at 12:53 p.m. on the 27100 block of 172nd Ave. SE, officers were dispatched for a larceny in progress. Upon contact, the male stated he did not do anything wrong. As the male challenged the officer to look in his bag where he had allegedly placed items from a business, he turned towards the front door and began to sprint. The male was tackled to the ground outside and tased when he attempted to get away again. Search of the male revealed a large amount of cash in his pockets. At one point, the male asked if the incident could be resolved without going to jail. The male had approximately $1622.40 worth of health/medical related items from the business recovered from his bag. The male was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for Criminal Attempt and Obstructing.

On June 16 at 11:46 a.m. on the 16500 block of SE 272nd St., during a traffic stop, a male was discovered to be driving on a suspended license. He was booked into SCORE on his warrant for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree, and his vehicle impounded.

On June 15 at 5:30 p.m. on the 16700 block of SE 272nd St., officers responded to an individual attempting to steal jeans. The male was observed in a vehicle on the roadway. Upon contact, the male along with a male driver were removed from the vehicle. The male stated he was going to steal a pair of jeans, but when he discovered he was being watched, he left the jeans where they were and departed the store. Check of both males revealed the male, who was going to steal the jeans, did not have a warrant, but the other male had a warrant for Department of Corrections (DOC) Escape. He was booked into Enumclaw Jail on his warrant. Both males were trespassed from the business.
King County
On June 15 at 3:33 p.m. on the 15100 block of SE 179th St., it was reported that a resident left an unlocked vehicle in an open garage with the keys left in the ignition. The next morning the resident found the car had been gone through with two jackets stolen along with the keys. A cell phone not belonging to the resident was found lying on the back seat of the vehicle.

On June 15 at 2:09 p.m. on the 18600 block of SE 300th Pl., it was reported that on two separate occasions a lawn seeding company had illegally taken water from a water district. The district attempted to bill the company with no response. When the owner was contacted, he was unaware he could be facing a felony criminal investigation for water theft. He stated he did not know the employees had obtained the water illegally. A resolution was worked out between the district and the company so that no further criminal investigation was requested at this time.

On June 14 at 10:24 p.m. on the 17000 block of 140th Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed with a defective headlight. Upon contact, check of the male driver revealed he had a suspended license for DUI and was required to have an ignition interlock device. The male was booked into King County Jail for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree, and Operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

On June 11 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. of June 12 on the 17400 block of W. Lake Desire Dr. SE, someone used a bolt cutter to cut a metal locking device on a gate to a park with a boat access.

On June 10 at 10:50 p.m. on the 25000 block of SE 248th St., officers were dispatched for a possible disturbance along a pipeline. Upon arrival, a vehicle with 3 occupants was observed parked along the roadside. When contact was made, an overwhelming odor of alcohol could be detected coming from the vehicle. A bottle of alcohol was observed underneath the driver’s and passenger’s seats as well as under a purse. Both 16 and 15-year old female passengers admitted to drinking alcohol given to them by the 20-year old male driver, who stated he had not been drinking and was unsure where the alcohol came from. The male refused to take the Field Sobriety Tests, but gave breath test of .057/.057. Check of the male revealed a felony warrant out of DOC for Escape. Portable breath tests of the females were .094/.099. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrant as well as Minor in Possession/Consumption of Alcohol, Furnish Liquor to minors, and Physical Control. His vehicle was impounded as well.

On June 10 at 6:25 a.m. on the 18300 block of 196th Ave. SE, a resident observed an unknown male on his property. Check of the property revealed a male coming out of a shed stating he was only there to feed the cats. The male stated he did not think he would go to jail for being on the property. The male promised he would not return to the property if he was just cited and released. The male was release on his property down the road pending filing of charges for Trespass, 1st degree and that he would show up for court.
Maple Valley
On June 8 at 12:10 p.m. on the 27300 block of 220th Pl. SE, officers were dispatched to an incident where two Department of Correction (DOC) officers were attacked by two dogs as they were attempting to contact a subject. According to one of the officers, as the dogs charged them, they were forced to use a taser as well as fire off one shot from a pistol at one of the animals, but missed. The owner was able to isolate the dog after it had been tased. Animal control was contacted to deal with the animal that had been tased. The DOC Supervisor came to the scene to take over the case.

On June 8 at 8:14 a.m. on the 23800 block of 222nd Pl. SE, someone broke the windows of three vehicles that had been secured in a business parking lot with no valuables left inside. An unknown white Lexus was observed in the area at the time of the break-ins.

On June 8 at 1:21 a.m. on the 23700 block of Witte Rd. SE, a driver pulling out of a business nearly collided with a patrol vehicle. Upon contact, a strong odor of alcohol could be detected coming from the male. After refusing to take the Field Sobriety Tests or give breath samples, he was taken to a local hospital for blood samples and then booked into King County Jail for DUI.
