Black Diamond

On May 13 at 9:29 a.m. on the 36700 block of the Enumclaw Black Diamond Rd., officers responded to the Kummer Bridge to assist the King County Sheriff’s Office. Officers blocked the highway while an accident was cleared from the bridge.

On May 11 at 3:56 a.m. in the 25400 block of Cumberland Way, officers responded to an address regarding an outside agency assist call from Federal Agents executing a search warrant. Officers assisted with a uniformed presence until the warrant was served.

On May 9 at approximately 2:04 a.m. on the 25600 block of Lawson St., officers received a call regarding a suspicious noise at a residence. Radio advised that the homeowner heard a loud noise near the basement door. The homeowner turned on the porch light, but was unable to see anyone or anything. Officers arrived at the residence and found no signs of forced entry or attempted forced entry. Upon walking around the entire property, nothing suspicious was found.

Covington

On May 15 at 8:10 a.m. on the 26200 block of 180th Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed with major front end damage and the air bag deployed, which appeared to be hampering the driver. Upon contact in a business parking lot, the female stated she had been in a collision with another vehicle stopped in the road. According to the female, the driver of that vehicle had put the vehicle in reverse and backed into the female’s vehicle. Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle stated the female drove up from behind and hit the driver as she was getting ready to make a turn, before the female fled the scene. Following the investigation, the female was released after admitting to causing the collision pending filing of charges for Hit & Run, Attended.

On May 11 at 8:10 p.m. on the 27500 block of Covington Way SE, a male was observed concealing 4 bottles of alcohol, 2 packages of hot dogs in his clothing and then exit the business without paying for the items. The male also admitted to taking 2 bottle of alcohol and some fish the week before. The total price (not including tax) of the items being stolen this day was approximately $270. The male had approximately $466 cash in his wallet. It was also discovered that the male had entered the business with someone else’s card that he claimed he found on the ground. The male was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for Theft, 3rd degree.

On May 3 at 7:53 p.m. on the 27000 block of 185th Ave. SE, a male entered a business and was observed concealing merchandise before walking past all points of sale without attempting to purchase the items. Upon contact, the merchandise was recovered and the male released pending filing of charges for Theft, 3rd degree.

King County

On May 11 at 8:17 a.m. on the 15400 block of SE 283rd Pl., a male was contacted camping on private property. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant for failing to appear for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree. He was booked into King County on his warrant.

On May 10 at 10:11 p.m. in the area of SE 173rd St. and 147th Ave. SE, a male driver was observed driving without a seatbelt. Upon contact, the male stated he did not have a license as it was suspended and that he had a warrant. When asked where his interlock device was, the male stated that since the vehicle was a work vehicle he did not think he needed one. The boss picked up the vehicle and the male was booked into King County Jail for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without an Ignition Interlock.

On May 9 at 5:18 a.m. on the 14000 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., while patrolling a parking lot, the owner of a vehicle was found to have a warrant. Upon contact, the warrant was confirmed for Operating Vehicle without Ignition Interlock and the male booked into King County Jail on his warrant.

On May 9 at 12:04 a.m. on the 14000 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., while checking a business area, a bicyclist was observed without lights or helmet. Upon contact, the male stated he was not aware he needed a light or helmet. Check of the male revealed a warrant for DUI. Pat down of the male revealed a large knife in sheath. The male was booked into King County on his warrant.

On May 7 at 4:43 p.m. on the 18000 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a motorhome was reported stolen and truck prowled from a property. Stolen items included a handgun and vehicle registration. It was discovered that the gate to the driveway was also broken open. Days earlier, a male was asked to leave the area he was staying in a trailer on a trail near the property. Even earlier, a female staying with the male was observed walking on a private property in the area and had asked if she could move her trailer onto the property, which had been declined.

On May 4 at 2:45 p.m. on the 14600 block of SE 184th Pl., residents at home were unaware that someone had climbed a fence gate and then onto the roof ledge where there was a window. A neighbor observed the suspect and yelled. The suspect got down and fled the area. While the window had been opened, no entry was made.

Maple Valley

On May 8 at 10:54 a.m. on the 26700 block of 242nd Ave. SE, it was reported that someone cut a hole in a business fence and removed a wood splitter that had been left inside unsecured.

On May 7 at 10:13 p.m. on the 26500 block of SR 169, officers were dispatched to a juvenile female, who had been drinking and fallen out of a chair inside a business. Upon arrival, officers learned that two sisters had been fighting. A parent was contacted and stated that the girls had been dropped off in the area earlier, but had been unaware what they had been up to. During an investigation, it was learned that both juveniles had been consuming alcohol. Both were trespassed from the business.

On May 5 at 12:37 a.m. on the 22000 block of SE Wax Rd., a male was being released from King County Jail, however, he was contacted upon release and rebooked into Kent Jail for a Malicious Mischief, 3rd degree warrant.
