Garden Club Needs Volunteers

For 15 years, our local Garden Club has planned and planted and maintained the lovely “Traffic Triangle Garden,” located at the intersection of Hwy 18 and the Maple Valley Hwy. When we took it over, it was a weed-filled space. Receiving permission from DOT and the City, and with a small grant from the local Rotary club, Late Bloomers transformed the space into the gem it is today.

However, our club is mostly senior citizens now and we need HELP from the community to maintain this beautiful garden. We will be doing the spring clean up on Monday, March 22nd from 10 a.m. to noon. Bring your favorite weeding tool, a bucket for weeds, and dress for the weather. Park at McDonalds and walk over. You must be at least 18 years old to participate, per the city guidelines. (no children allowed)For more information of if you know a group that would like to take over this project, please email Barbara at cjnagel@aol.com.

Thanks for considering this opportunity to brighten the day of our fellow citizens as they drive by this flower filled garden.
