The only business before the Council was a Public Hearing regarding an Ordinance granting a Nonexclusive Telecommunications Franchise to MClmetro Access Transmission Services Corporation, D/B/A Verizon Access.

Ordinance No. O-18-651, amending the 2018 budget to provide additional appropriations for the purchase of a 1¼ ton truck to replace a 2006 ¾ ton truck as previously approved by Council. Passed 7-0

Ordinance No. O-18-650, amending Maple Valley Municipal Code Section 9.05.210 entitled “Controlled Substances” to adopt by reference a State Statute concerning minor in possession of marijuana. Passed 7-0

Ordinance No. O-18-649, amending Maple Valley Municipal Code Chapter 9.05.425 entitled Criminal Code to add Section 9.05.425 adopting by reference the State Statute making Indecent Exposure a misdemeanor. Passed 7-0

Ordinance No. O-18-648, amending Maple Valley Municipal Code Chapter 5.35 to address requirements imposed by Chapter 35.90 RCW concerning business license thresholds for businesses engaging in the City but not physically located within the City. Passed 7-0

Resolution No. R-18-1275, authorizing the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with SLA Landscape Architecture, LLC by extending the contract duration decreasing the contract amount and revising the scope of work. Passed 7-0

Resolution No. R-18-1274 authorizing the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Contract with PBS Engineering and Environmental Inc. revising the scope of work and increasing compensation related to construction management services of project number T-42 (SR 516 and 218thAvenue SE intersection improvements).
