Thank you community for your support of the Black Diamond Community Center and the youth in the Enumclaw School District. The back-to-school giveaway was Monday, August 27th at the Center.
Any youth in the Enumclaw School District who filled out an application this month picked up supplies for school, from a great selection of material donated by our community.
Backpacks were donated by Val and Nikki Westover (The Loft Salon). Cash donations came from Maple Valley Black Diamond Rotary, Enumclaw Lions, Kiwanis Club of Black Diamond and Maple Valley, seniors who come to our weekly lunch program, and those who gave in response to our pledge letter.
Various supplies came in all month from the St. Barbara Church, Pythians, Lake Sawyer Christian Church’s youth program, Black Diamond Automotive, and individuals who know we supply kids with free supplies.
We will keep supplies available until September 11th, Monday thru Thursday, 9a.m.-4p.m. Thank you community, we appreciate your help and so do our youth.
