Editor, the VOICE:
The Lake Sawyer Christian Church’s Vacation Bible School youth spent many hours making hygiene sacks for the Black Diamond Community Center’s Food Bank. Each bag contains soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper, bandaids, kleenex, and Wet Ones hand wipes. Every person using the food bank can get one of these very helpful and needed bags. The youth drew pictures on each bag, with messages of inspiration.
These youth also colored placemats for our seniors who attend our weekly nutrition lunch program. The placemats were colored with special messages for the seniors.
Thank you to Jennifer Lawless, adult coordinator for this project, and to the youth who did all the work. Everyone appreciates your wonderful work, and that you care about all those in our community.
