On May 31 at approximately 10:19 p.m. 31100 block of 3rdAve., officers were dispatched to a suspicious noise. Dispatch advised officers that the reporting party could hear what sounded like someone on the roof. Officers were aware of previous complaints regarding the same issue. Upon arrival, officers saw raccoons crossing the street in the area, however there was no one on the roof. Checking a little closer, officers climbed up a ladder to check for footprints however, there was no evidence to suggest anyone had been on the roof. Officers contacted the reporting party and advised they would patrol the area.

On May 29 at 6:25 p.m. on the 29800 block of 224thAve. SE, an officer was dispatched to a threats complaint. The reporting party advised that he was followed home after honking his horn at another vehicle. The suspect driver followed him into his driveway and briefly refused to leave his property. The suspect driver was identified and contacted. No criminal charges pending.

On May 25 at 7:08 p.m. on the 30400 block of 3rdAve., officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon contact, it was discovered that the driver was using a counterfeit trip permit, had failed to transfer the title after purchasing the vehicle, and was the subject of outstanding arrest warrants. The driver was booked into jail, and the vehicle impounded.
Covington
On May 30 at 5:47 p.m. in the area of SE 261stSt. and 176thAve. SE, a known male was observed walking along the side of the street. Upon contact, check of the male revealed he had a warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The male was booked into Kent Jail on his warrant.

On May 30 between midnight and 10:36 a.m. of June 1 on the 18600 block of SE 240thSt., it was reported that someone has been causing damage to an unsecured new construction project. Some of the damage included copper pipe being cut, causing the floor to be flooded with water. The dumpster had also been rifled through, causing some of the material to be spilled out onto the ground.

On May 25 at 11 a.m. on the 17400 block of SE 270thPl., a female was observed concealing a car battery in her purse, then passing all points of sale and walking to the exit. Upon contact, check of the female revealed she had a non-extraditable warrant. The female stated she knew she could sell the battery for money to support her heroin addiction. The female, who had already been trespassed from the business, was escorted off the business property and released pending filing of charges for Theft, 3rddegree and Criminal Trespass, 2nddegree.

On June 3 at 2:35 a.m. on the 180000 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a driver was observed driving over the center of the road and then accelerating away from a deputy before disappearing around a corner. Check of the area ended with negative results.

On June 2 at 9:11 p.m. on the 16400 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a male stated that he rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped at a stoplight because he was just tired. The male also stated that the strong odor the deputy detected came from mouthwash, however other indications led to the male taking the Field Sobriety Tests. After failing the tests, the male gave breath samples that indicated alcohol, so he was charged with DUI and his vehicle was impounded.

On June 1 at 1:43 a.m. in the area of SE Fairwood Blvd. and 140thAve. SE, while running a check of a driver, it was found that the driver had a suspended license. When attempting to make contact, a male jumped from the vehicle’s passenger’s side and took off running. After catching up with the male, he stated he was running because he had a warrant. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant for Department of Corrections Escape Community Custody. Search of the male revealed a substance he admitted was meth. Meanwhile, the driver was still sitting in the vehicle, and upon contact admitted to a suspended license. He was told he would be cited via mail for No Valid Operator License with Identification, No Proof of Motor Vehicle Insurance and Speeding before being released at the scene. The male that ran from the deputy was booked into King County Jail on his warrant.

On May 30 at 8:10 p.m. on the 15600 block of SE 173rdSt., it was reported that a backpack was found with several laptops in it. Along with the laptops were a Kindle, computer keyboard, power cords, earbuds, and notepad.

On May 30 at 2:15 p.m. on the 16500 block of 132ndPl. SE, a resident returned home to find that someone had thrown a rock through a glass window and the window partially open. Missing items included a guitar and digital camera.

On May 24 at 8:34 p.m. on the 17500 block of 149thAve. SE, a male that was so intoxicated he could not walk, called 911 and demanded to be taken to jail. Upon contact, the male was told he needed a reason to go to jail, so he threatened to assault the deputies. The male was transported to a local hospital for detox.
Maple Valley
On May 27 at 8:08 p.m. in the area of SE 272ndSt. and Witte Rd. SE, a driver was observed disregarding a traffic signal. Upon contact, an odor of intoxicants could be detected coming from the male, who also had a suspended license. After failing the Field Sobriety Tests, the 20-year old male gave two breath samples of .051/.051. The passenger called for a friend to come pick her up. The male, who already had a suspended license in the 2nddegree, was booked into Kent Jail for Driving While License Suspended, 2nddegree and Minor operating vehicle after consuming alcohol. His vehicle was also impounded.

On May 23 at 9:55 p.m. on the 28400 block of 232ndAve. SE, a male teen, who was near some train tracks, reported that he had been struck in the head by something when a train passed by him. Upon arrival, 5 juveniles were located near the tracks and appeared to be under the influence of marijuana. The juveniles admitted to placing items across the tracks. Following an evaluation of the male it was found that he had not received any injuries. The juveniles were released to parents and advised that BNSF Police would be contacting them about the incident.

On May 23 at 8:52 p.m. on the 23400 block of SE 250thPl., officers were dispatched to a female who was walking around in a neighborhood, refusing to speak to anyone and standing in the middle of the roadway at one point. Upon contact, the female stated she was just passing through. Check of the female revealed she had two warrants with one for Theft, 3rddegree. The female was booked into King County Jail for her warrant.
