Black Diamond

On March 24 at 11:15 a.m. on the 22000 block of SE 288thSt., officers responded to a citizen dispute. It was reported that a dog would not stop barking and that a neighbor was throwing objects at the dog, however, the dog was not injured. Officers contacted both parties and advised them to stop throwing objects at the dog as well as to call police if the dog continues barking or if objects are being thrown again.

On March 23 at approximately 8:54 p.m. on the 25200 block of Cumberland Pl., officers were dispatched to a malicious mischief complaint. Upon phone contact, a resident stated he found plastic airsoft BBs in his backyard and believes his neighbor is shooting his house and dog. Officers attempted to contact the neighbor at their residence and by phone. Upon contact, the neighbor denied owning an airsoft gun and stated he did not know of anyone who owned one.

On March 21 at approximately 12:05 a.m. on the 22500 SE 296thSt., officers were on patrol when they discovered a vehicle parked at Lake Sawyer Boat Launch. Upon contact, a faint odor of marijuana could be detected. Due to the two male occupants being 18-years old, officers contacted the driver’s parents for pick up of the males as well as the vehicle. The passenger was within walking distance of his residence and stated he would walk home. The driver was picked up by a parent and the vehicle driven home by the other parent.

Covington

On March 25 between 6 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the 19200 block of SE 259thPl., someone entered a vehicle and stole a $200 diaper bag with baby clothes and toys inside the bag.

On March 23 at 2 p.m. on the 17000 block of SE 272ndSt., a female was observed taking a cart of diapers and cereal outside of a business without attempting to purchase the items. Upon contact, the female became angry and refused to give security the merchandise. The female stepped on security’s foot numerous times trying to take the diapers. A male, who was observed earlier with the female, joined her and then ran off with the diapers. Both male and female were apprehended and ID’d. Check of the male revealed the male had a warrant for Theft, 3rddegree. The female admitted that she had hoped to sell the diapers to someone. The female was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for Theft, 3rddegree, and the male booked into SCORE for his warrant.

On March 23 between midnight and 7:42 a.m. of March 27 on the 17500 block of SE Wax Rd., according to a business manager, several light poles were not working as someone had stolen the copper wiring between them. Approximately 100 feet of copper wiring was also stolen from a nearby business.

King County

On March 29 at 11:54 p.m. on the 13900 block of SE 173rdPl., a known male, with a No Contact Order, was observed exiting his vehicle at a location where the female, he was not supposed to be contacting, was living. Upon contact, the male stated the female was no longer living there. The male was booked into King County Jail on a No Contact Order Violation and warrant for Kidnapping – Unlawful Imprisonment, Assault, 4thdegree, Domestic Violence.

On March 29 at 5:45 p.m. on the 14000 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a female locked her vehicle with her purse inside on the front seat. She noticed a vehicle parked next to hers with occupants as she went into a business. Upon return a short time later, she observed a suspect standing in front of her vehicle and upon seeing her, the suspect got into the vehicle. As the female attempted to retrieve her purse, the drive began driving away, so she released her purse. Check of the female’s vehicle revealed a broken window. A laptop was also stolen.

On March 27 at 3:45 a.m. on the 14200 block of SE 176thSt., two vehicles were observed in a business parking lot with occupants sleeping inside. A male and female sleeping in one vehicle were told by security they were not allowed to sleep on the property and to move their vehicle, which they did. A male in the other vehicle became verbally combative and refused to identify himself. Upon arrival of deputies, check of the male revealed he had a warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The males and female were trespassed from the property and the male with the warrant was booked into Kent Jail on his warrant.

On March 26 between 8:45-11:05 a.m. on the 17500 block of 147thAve. SE, upon returning home, a resident noticed a breeze while entering. Check of the home revealed glass from a door smashed in and the door wide open. Further check revealed a bedroom ransacked. Missing items included gift card, cash, jewelry box, and jewelry.

On March 25 between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. of March 26 on the 19900 block of 138thAve. SE, someone broke a window out of a vehicle and stole a wallet from the center console.

On March 22 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. of March 29 on the 32000 block of 176thAve. SE, a female observed mail in a ditch near her residence and picked up the already opened/tossed pieces. Part of the mail was returned to some of the recipients, however, the remaining few pieces were turned over to a deputy.

Maple Valley

On March 30 at 2:35 p.m. on the 23400 block of SE Tahoma Way, a male student, who had been told that he could not come back on school campus due to past incidents, was observed returning several times to see a friend. The male was trespassed from campus, transported to his residence, and a parent contacted on the matter.

On March 30 at 3:05 a.m. on the 27100 block of 213thPl. SE, when a known male suspect did not get all the pieces to an item he said another male had of his, the suspect took some sort of bat/pipe object and broke out the window of a vehicle belonging to the male’s girlfriend before leaving the scene in another vehicle. Search for the suspect ended with negative results. Case forwarded to the prosecutor with recommended charges of Malicious Mischief for the suspect.

On March 24 at 7:33 p.m. on the 22000 block of SE Wax Rd., a female, who had a no contact order against a male, stated she thought the male had broken her windshield and car stereo. It was further discovered the male had a warrant for Assault, 4thdegree Domestic Violence. At one point, the male and female were at a business where they were reported to have had a physical disturbance after which both left. A perimeter was set up where the male had been sited with K9 locating the male in some bushes after refusing to surrender. Refusing to answer any questions, the male was transported to Kent Jail, after being cleared from a local medical center due to dog bites. The male was booked for violation of the Domestic Violence No Contact Order.
