Black Diamond
On October 14 at 11:39 p.m. on the 30400 block of Cumberland DR, Officers were dispatched to a residence in regard to a report of an assault that had occurred earlier in the evening. Upon arrival, officers were able to determine that the assault had occurred outside of city limits, and the incident was turned over to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

On October 13 at approximately 1:15 p.m. on the 25300 block of Kanasket Dr., officers were advised of a resident who called in to report a phone scam. Officers contacted the resident who stated a voicemail was left from someone claiming to be a Black Diamond Police Officer, who was with King County Civil Process. Officers informed the resident of what actions would be taken. Black Diamond Officers also contacted Washington State Patrol and the FBI.

On October 12 at 11:21 a.m. on the 21700 block of SE 291st, officers received a phone call regarding a possible telephone fraud. The reporting party received a phone call from someone claiming to be part of King County Civil Process. The reporting party supplied officers with the phone number that they were contacted by. Officers made contact and determined it was a fraudulent entity. King County Civil Process was notified.
Covington
On October 23 at 3:20 p.m. on the 27200 block of 172nd Ave. SE, officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle theft. Upon arrival, a male stated that someone broke into his locker and stole the keys to his vehicle, along with a cell phone and wallet that contained a pilot’s license as well as other cards. A female also reported that someone broke into her locker and stole a pink gym bag containing a pair of pink earbuds and other changing items.

On October 23 between 12:30-2:37 a.m. on the 16400 block of SE 272nd St., two males and a female suspect entered a business. While two of the three attempted to distract the clerk with questions, the third reached behind the counter and grabbed a carton of cigarettes. Check of the area ended with negative results.

On October 13 at 8:05 p.m. in the area of SE 272nd St. and 195th Pl. SE, an officer was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle. Upon contact, the driver stated he was out of gas and waiting for someone to bring him some. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant for failing to appear on a Hit and Run charge. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrant and the vehicle turned over to the female occupant.
King County
On October 18 at 8:14 a.m. in the area of SE 164th St. and 190th Ave. SE, parents, who wanted their children picked up in front of their residences rather than using either of the two approved nearby designated bus stops, walked in front of the bus and refused to move. After being contacted by the school officials as well as deputies about the pickup areas, a parent continued to stand in front of the bus each morning. Police were notified, and the parent monitored for potential disorderly contact charges.

On October 18 at 2:45 a.m. on the 16700 block of Parkside Way SE, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle. As deputies approached the vehicle, they learned that the vehicle was unconfirmed stolen. Upon contact, the female was told to exit the vehicle and as she did so, she reached under the seat, after which a glass pipe was located under the seat. The male passenger also exited the vehicle and was detained. The female stated she did not know the vehicle was stolen. She claimed she got it from a friend, who told her to get rid of it. Being as she was homeless, she had planned on sleeping in the vehicle to get out of the weather. A shaved key was found jammed in the ignition. Search of the female’s purse revealed possible meth. The male was released, and the female booked into King County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.

On October 16 at 8 a.m. on the 18000 block of 168th Way SE, while moving into a new residence, the new male resident took an expensive ring off and placed it on a counter. The next day when he went to retrieve the ring, it was missing. It was also learned that a wallet/purse was also missing. Multiple people had been in/out of the house preparing it for living in.

On October 16 at 7:40 a.m. on the 19400 block of 143rd Pl. SE, deputies were dispatched to a disturbance. Upon contact, one of the males immediately went to the ground. According to the second male, they had been arguing and he wanted the male on the ground to leave. Check of the first male revealed he had two warrants – Domestic Violence Assault and Domestic Violence, Violation of a no contact order. A glass pipe was found on the male. The male was turned over to an officer in another county where his warrants had been issued.

On October 14 at 1:15 a.m. on the 28900 block of Kent Black Diamond Rd. SE, deputies were dispatched to a head-on collision. Upon contact, a female driver, who smelled of intoxicants, stated she would perform the Field Sobriety Tests, however, because she kept stumbling, it was determined that she was under the influence of alcohol and the tests were not preformed. After giving breath samples of .161/.158, she was transported to her residence and released pending filing of charges for DUI. The owner of the other vehicle, who also smelled of intoxicants, stated he was following the female when she slammed on her breaks and he was unable to stop. After failing the Field Sobriety Tests, he blew breath samples of .164/.164. The male was released at his residence pending filing of charges for DUI. Both vehicles were impounded.

On October 13 at 4:31 p.m. on the 34800 block of 218th Ave. SE, two vehicles were observed in no trespass area. Upon contact with one of the drivers, he stated that he was helping his friend, getting the friend’s truck unstuck. The friend was also contacted. Check of the friend revealed he had a warrant for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree. Check of his male passenger revealed the passenger had a felony warrant for Control Substance No Prescription. Upon fingerprinting the first driver, it was discovered he not only gave a false name, but he also had a felony Department of Corrections Escape warrant and felony warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. The vehicles were impounded, and all males booked into King County Jail on their warrants. The first male was additionally charged with Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.
Maple Valley
On October 21 between 7:20-10:08 p.m. on the 26900 block of Maple Valley Black Diamond Rd. SE, a female driver was reported for having collided with a vehicle in front of her. Upon arrival, it was learned that the female failed the Field Sobriety Tests. She gave breath samples of .148/.148. The female’s vehicle was impounded, and the female cited for DUI.

On October 21 at 12:06 a.m. on the 21400 block of SE Kent Kangley Rd., a driver was observed running a red light and speeding. Upon contact, the male stated he was fine and that he wanted to go home when asked if he had been drinking. The male finally stated that he had not been drinking at which time an odor of intoxicants could be detected coming from his breath. After refusing to take the Field Sobriety Tests, the male blew breath samples of .135/.136. Check of the male revealed he had two prior DUI’s. The male was booked into Kent Jail for DUI and his vehicle impounded.

On October 17 at 3:32 p.m. on the 23800 block of 225th Way SE, officers went to a business to apprehend a known male with a Department of Corrections warrant for Theft, 1st degree. The male was located in the business’s deep freezer and booked into the Regional Justice Center on his warrant.
