Black Diamond
On March 11 at 1:16 p.m. on the 23000 block of Roberts Dr., officers responded to a report of an illegal firearm discharge. Officers arrived in the area and could hear shots, but were unable to locate the source. The shots appeared to come from unincorporated King County and the Sheriff’s Office was notified.

On March 10 at approximately 8:37 p.m. on the 32600 block of 3rd Ave., officers received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of a business. Upon arrival, officers found that the owner of the vehicle was an employee of the business.

On March 7 at 2:19 p.m. at the Black Diamond Library, officers received a call regarding an unruly, suspicious person. The caller stated a female was in the roadway in a construction zone attempting to take pictures and video. Upon arriving, officers located the female and educated her on staying on the sidewalk and not to disrupt the construction area. She agreed and left in her vehicle.
Covington
On March 5 at 12:16 a.m. on the 17400 block of SE 272nd St., a male was observed slumped over in a vehicle after making an order at a business drive-thru. An occupant in a vehicle directly behind the male went to check the male out, but was unable to wake him. Upon contact, the vehicle was running with the male’s foot on the break. Due to the male not responding after being shaken the keys were removed by an officer entering the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The male finally woke up, but was disoriented and had a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. The male gave breath samples of .155/.155 and was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for physical control of motor vehicle under influence of alcohol. His vehicle was also impounded.

On March 3 at 8 a.m. on the 19600 block of SE 272nd St., a student discovered that he had left his school computer on the school bus, however, upon check of the bus, it was gone.

On March 1 at 1:23 p.m. in the area of SE 256th St. and 164th Ave. SE, check of a vehicle license revealed the registered owner to have a suspended license. Upon contact, check of the male driver revealed he had a warrant for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree. The male was booked into SCORE on his warrant. He was additionally cited for driving on a suspended license.
King County
On March 12 between 8 p.m. an 5 p.m. of March 13 on the 31900 block of Cumberland Kanaskat Rd. SE, a male was observed on the property of an unoccupied rental house. Upon initial contact with the male, the property owner stated that the male told her he had a friend change the locks a couple of weeks ago, however, according to the property owner this was not true as no one had seen the male before he was seen that day. The male removed all his belongings before running away from the property. The male also left the property owner with the keys to the new locks.

On March 12 at 5:55 p.m. on the 22100 block of Witte Rd., deputies were dispatched to a one-vehicle collision. The driver was witnessed as throwing beer cans from the crashed vehicle. Upon arrival, a strong odor of alcohol could be detected coming from the male. According to the male, another vehicle was on his side of the road and he swerved to avoid it. Asked if he had consumed any alcohol, the male denied it before admitting to one beer – and then two beers. After declining the Field Sobriety Tests, he blew breath samples of .196/.197. The male was released pending filing of charges for DUI.

On March 12 at 3:21 p.m. on the 30200 block of Cumberland/Kanaskat Rd., a vehicle was observed making a turn into a private driveway without signaling. Upon contact, check of the female revealed she had a felony warrant for Escape Community Custody on an original charge of residential burglary. The female was booked into SCORE. Additional charges included No Valid Operator’s License without ID.

On March 11 at 2 p.m. on the 29300 block of 318th Ave. SE, a deputy was dispatched to assist a fire department. Upon contact, the deputy was told that a male had burned his face, hands, and hair. The male stated that he was trying to dispose of some old gunpowder in his backyard. After starting a small fire, he threw some of the powder directly into the fire and it blew up in his face. The male was transported to a hospital for treatment.

On March 9 between 8-10 a.m. on the 14000 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., someone broke out a vehicle window and rifled through the interior of a vehicle that had been parked in a business parking lot. Other vehicles in the lot were observed to have sustained window damage as well.

On March 6 at 3:30 p.m. on the 24400 block of 256th Ave. SE, while riding on a horse on a trail, a female along with her dog encountered two hikers. The female’s dog began interacting with the hiker’s dog, which made the hiker angry. The hiker began yelling at the female to get off her horse while also threatening her. According to the female, the hiker (who was a female as well) stated that if the hiker ever saw the female again, the hiker would shoot the female’s dog and horse.
Maple Valley
On March 11 at 8:41 p.m. on the 26900 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, a male was observed entering a business and going to the candy aisle. After electing a couple of bags of candy, the male exited the business without attempting to purchase the items. Upon contact, the male admitted to stealing the candy for his girlfriend as he had left his wallet. Check of the male revealed he had three warrants – two for theft, 3rd degree and one with a combination of two assaults plus a theft. The male was trespassed from the business and booked into Enumclaw Jail on his warrants.

On March 10 at 9:28 p.m. on the 24000 block of SE 262nd Pl., a male with four warrants and who had been trespassed from a residence was found hiding in the residence. The male was booked into Kent Jail on his warrants – Theft, 3rd degree, and Obstructing, Making a False Statement and Malicious Mischief. He was additionally cited for Trespass, 2nd degree.

On March 8 at 2:34 a.m. in the area of SR 169 and Witte Rd. SE, a driver was observed driving a vehicle back and forth over a line and then back into the lane again as well as going over the speed limit. Upon contact, the vehicle had a strong odor of alcohol coming from inside. The female stated she did not have anything to drink, however, the male passenger stated he had and that he called the female to come pick him up. After taking the Field Sobriety Tests, the female gave breath samples of .151/.152. The female was released to a relative pending filing of charges for DUI.
