Black Diamond

On January 20 at approximately 9:56 p.m. west of Abrams Ave., officers received a call regarding gunshot sounds. Officers also heard the noise that sounded like fireworks and not gunshots. Only one subject called to report the noise. Officers conducted an area check with negative results.

On January 19 at 6:26 p.m. on the 25800 block of Lawson St., officers were dispatched to a fire assist for a CPR in progress. First on scene, officers performed CPR until fire arrived and took over. Officers were able to gain a pulse and the subject was transported to the hospital.

On January 18 at approximately 1:19 a.m. on the 32800 block of Railroad Ave., officers received a call regarding a theft. Radio advised that a citizen witnessed two males steal a strand of red Christmas lights from a light pole across the street from a business. A red pickup truck pulled up and the two subjects left in the vehicle.

Covington

On January 20 at 2:10 p.m. on the 26300 block of 191st Pl. SE, a driver was observed crossing back and forth over a fog line. Upon contact, the driver admitted to a suspended license. The male stated that he was looking at a map on his phone. Check of the vehicle registration reveal it was expired even though the tabs showed 2017. The male stated that he took the tabs from his other vehicle and placed them on this vehicle that he had just purchased. The tabs were removed, the vehicle impounded, and the male cited for Failure to Transfer title within 45 days, Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree along with infractions for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance, and Displaying a Changed or Disfigured Plate. The male was released at the scene.

On January 18 at 1:28 p.m. on the 17000 block of SE 270th Pl., a male was observed walking through a business selecting items. After taking a wallet, he concealed it in his pocket and did not pay for it before leaving the business. The male was located at another business in the area and the wallet located in his backpack. The male was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for Theft, 3rd degree.

On January 14 at 8:10 p.m. on the 24200 block of 181st Pl. SE, a female drove over to her ex-boyfriend’s residence, took a drink out of a liquor bottle, exited her vehicle, and then went over to the male’s vehicle. After throwing the bottle at the vehicle’s window, which caused damage, the female left. Upon contact with the male, he stated he did not want to prosecute. The bottle was located and a message left for the female to contact an officer.

King County

On January 20 between 4 p.m. and 7 a.m. of January 23 on the 30000 block of 329th Pl. SE, someone attempted to break into a large metal container containing building materials. A cutting torch was used in an attempt to break the locking bolts. A large cargo strap was attached to the door that was then pulled by a vehicle. However, the door did not open. A large heavy container was found nearby on the ground after being removed from its area.

On January 20 at 11:05 a.m. on the 29300 block of 215th Pl. SE, deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence. A male was arrested on a warrant and the known female, who has been told to stay away from the property, left the scene prior to arrival of deputies. However, she was located down the street and booked into jail for Trespass, 2nd degree.

On January 19 between 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on the 22200 block of Dorre Don Way SE, someone entered a property by lifting a gate off its hinges prior to using a dog door to enter the residence. Items stolen from the residence included coins, jewelry, gun lock box containing revolver, laptop, and TV remote.

On January 17 at 12:07 a.m. on the 14300 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a vehicle was observed with a headlight out and expired tabs. Upon contact, the male stated he had recently purchased the vehicle. The male was cited for Failure to Transfer Title within 45 Days and No Proof of Vehicle Insurance.

On January 16 at 9:59 p.m. in the area of SE 171st and 140th Ave. SE, a business employee wanted a homeless female, who had been previously trespassed from the business, to leave the business parking lot. Upon contact, the female was warned to stay out of the business area. She cooperated and left.

On January 12 at 7:13 p.m. on the 33400 block of 192nd Ave. SE, deputies approached a vehicle that was running while parked in a trailer park in order to apprehend a known male with a felony warrant. One of the deputies called out that the ignition was punched prior to the male putting the vehicle into drive, fishtailing and pushing the deputy into a brick wall before speeding off at a high rate of speed. The deputies did not pursue the male; however, the case was forwarded to the King County Prosecutor recommending the male be charged with Resisting Arrest and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.

Maple Valley

On January 19 at 10:41 p.m. on the 28700 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, a vehicle was observed parked on the side of the road. Upon contact, a female driver stated they ran out of gas and needed a ride to the gas station. Check of both occupants revealed the male passenger had a felony warrant for 2 counts of Theft, 2nd degree. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrant.

On January 18 at 5:30 p.m. on the 23700 block of Witte Rd. SE, someone entered a vehicle that was parked in a business parking lot by shattering a window. A backpack containing a driver’s license, text book and notebooks was stolen from the backseat.

On January 14 at 3:13 p.m. on the 21700 block of SE 265th Way, several juveniles were reported walking out onto ice that was on a lake. Upon arrival, a female and four males were contacted in and by a vehicle. As officers approached, a strong odor of alcohol could be detected coming from the area. A liquor bottle and marijuana smoking apparatus were observed in the vehicle. Check of the subjects revealed one male had a warrant for Weapon at School, another male was booked into King County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and another male booked into SCORE for Attempted Assault, 3rd degree. Parents were contacted to come pick up the rest of the juveniles.
