Black Diamond
On November 5 between 8-11:24 a.m. on the 29000 block of 216th Ave. SE, officers were called to a business for a man who was hanging out by the side of a business for about three hours. He was contacted by police and said he was trying to fix his bike and would be gone in about 20 minutes. Officers stayed in the area until the man rode his bicycle away about 30 minutes later.
On November 3 at 8:48 a.m. on the 22000 block of SE 295th Pl., officers were dispatched for a floating paddleboard on Lake Sawyer as the caller was concerned that somebody fell off. The marine boat was utilized and the board retrieved. It appeared that it had not been used for some time as it was extremely dirty on the top. Due to a recent rise in the lake’s water level, the board may have floated away from a dock. The owner was located later.
On November 1 at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers assisted King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) to conduct a perimeter position for several outstanding suspects. A nearby city had a recent home invasion robbery involving firearms, with suspects that fled on foot. Officers from several jurisdictions assisted with perimeter positions, until assistance was no longer needed.
Covington
On November 3 at 11:49 p.m. on the 16400 block of SE 272nd St., a male driver was observed on a cell phone while stopped at a green light. The male eventually pulled into a gas station and parked by a pump. Upon contact, a strong odor of marijuana could be detected coming for the inside of the vehicle even though the windows were up. At first, the male refused to give the officer any information as it was learned later that he was afraid as to what he should do. The male also stated that he was 17 years old while his passenger was 14. The male stated he was looking at his cellphone because he was lost and was trying to find his way home. Upon contact with a parent, it was learned that the male did not have permission to take the vehicle and that the male driver was actually 15 years old. The vehicle was secured in a lot and the male transported home to his parents where he was released pending filing of charges for operating a motor vehicle on the roadway with no valid operator’s license, 1st degree, and taking a motor vehicle without permission.
On November 1 at 10:30 p.m. on the 17400 block of SE 272nd St., a male was observed sleeping in the lobby of a business and refused to wake up and leave when asked. Upon contact, the manager just wanted the male to move along. A smell of alcoholic beverage was coming from the male, who had a can of alcohol sitting on a seat next to him. After refusing to acknowledge the officer was there, the male was handcuffed. Search of the male revealed a tire iron in his pant leg. Check of the male revealed two warrants with one for Minor in Possession. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrant.
On October 31 at 3:20 p.m. on the 17000 block of SE 270th Pl., a male was observed in a shoe department putting on a pair of shoes before moving on to a men’s department where he put a jacket on before leaving without paying for the items. The male was released to a parent pending filing of charges for Theft, 3rd degree and was trespassed from the business as well.
King County
On November 11 at 10:34 a.m. on the 23400 block of 160th Ave. SE, after a resident ignored a doorbell ringing for several minutes, the resident was startled by two males looking in the windows. When they saw the resident, they fled the scene. Check of the area ended with negative results.
On November 7 at 3:41 p.m. on the 20000 block of SE 232nd St., a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious person pushing a grocery cart and going into ditches and yards before coming back up to the road again. Upon contact, the male began to run away. Apprehended once again, check of the male revealed he had a warrant for stalking. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrant.
On November 5 at 11 p.m. on the 14700 block of SE 204th Pl., deputies were dispatched to a residence where a call taker could hear a woman screaming for help on an open line. Upon arrival, deputies announced their presence and were told to enter, however, the doors were all locked. After kicking the door open, deputies found an elderly female lying on the floor by the side of the bed. She stated that she had fallen and was not able to get up. A male inside the residence was located passed out on a couch with a handgun and ammunition in his lap. Once removed, the male was awakened and admitted to drinking alcohol. Check of the male revealed he was a convicted felon. Records revealed the male had his rights reinstated, purchased the pistol legally, and had a concealed pistol license. Once everything was checked to make sure all was well, the deputies departed.
On November 5 at 10:35 a.m. on the 31400 block of E. Lake Morton Dr. SE, a resident observed movement in the back part of their property. Upon investigation, a vehicle was found parked unoccupied at the back of the property. A police/military gun belt with handgun in the holster was observe in the vehicle. When two suspects returned, they were frightened off by the resident and fled the area in another vehicle.
On November 2 at 11:25 p.m. on the 18200 block of 150th Ave. SE, deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress. According to a resident, she was awakened by two very loud slams from downstairs. She woke her husband and they went downstairs together to investigate. They found the front door opened and damage to the frame. A male was also observed on the porch before walking out of sight. A vehicle was observed fleeing the scene shortly thereafter.
On October 30 at 6:24 a.m. on the 13600 block of SE Fairwood Blvd., a suspect was observed walking up to a house and stealing a bicycle near the front door.
Maple Valley
On October 31 at 10:52 p.m. in the area of SE 248th St. and 224th Ave. SE, three suspects were contacted for trespassing in a park after hours. After being warned to leave, they were advised to contact a licensed driver. A short time later, the suspects were observed exiting the park in their vehicle. Upon contact, check of the male suspect driver revealed he had a suspended licensed for failing to appear for unpaid ticket. The male was released pending filing of charges for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree, and an infraction for No liability insurance. The vehicle was also impounded.

On October 30 at 12:05 a.m. in the area of SR 516 and 216th Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed with expired tabs. Upon contact, a strong odor of alcohol was detected coming from the male driver. After failing the Field Sobriety Tests, the male was turned over to Washington State Patrol and refused to take the breath test. The male was booked into Kent Jail for DUI and his vehicle impounded.

On October 29 at 12:07 p.m. on the 26500 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, a female was observed urinating in a business parking lot. Upon contact, the female smelled heavily of alcohol. Check of the female revealed she had been trespassed from the business a few months ago. The female was released to a family member pending filing of charges for Trespass, 2nd degree.
