Black Diamond

On September 24 at 1:10 p.m. on the 31400 block of 3rd Ave., officers were dispatched to an assault inside an event. Officers arrived and located all parties involved with the fight. All were interviewed and they all decided no charges of assault should be filed. They all went their separate ways and the incident ended peacefully.

On September 21 at 5:48 p.m. in the 30400 block of 227th PL SE, officers were dispatched to a 911 hang up from a residence. The officer was able to get a line into the residence prior to arrival and found out it was a verbal dispute between roommates. The officers stood by while the male half packed his things and left the area.

On September 20 at 3:35 p.m. in the 23700 block of Roberts Dr., officers were dispatched to a residence in regard to a suspicious person seen on the property of a nearby unoccupied home. Officers conducted an area check, but were unable to locate anyone matching the description. Officers checked the unoccupied home and found it secure.

Covington

On October 2 at 12:30 p.m. on the 18000 block of SE 272nd St., two small vehicles were observed weaving in and out of traffic as well as traveling faster than other traffic in the area. When one of the drivers was contact, the male apologized stating he was coming from church and driving with a friend. The 16 year old was released pending filing of charges with the juvenile prosecutor for Racing (Reckless Driving).

On September 29 at 6 p.m. on the 17000 block of SE 270th Pl., a female was observed as having changed into un-purchased clothes before leaving the business without paying for the items. When asked by security to stop, the female dropped a bag of clothes and began running. The bag of clothes contained needles and someone’s debit card. Search of the area ended with negative results.

On September 23 at 2:39 p.m. on the 17400 block of SE 272nd St., a transient male, who had caused problems in the past at a business, was observed in the business again. Upon contact, check of the male revealed he had a felony warrant for Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. The male was given a Trespass Warning Letter from the business and then booked into the Regional Justice Center on his warrant.

King County

On September 25 between 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on the 17600 block of 140th Ave. SE, a deputy was dispatched to an attempted car prowl at a business. Upon contact, an employee stated that a customer came in stating that a vehicle in the parking lot had its window smashed out. According to the employee, a computer monitor that was in the back of the vehicle under other items had its cord hanging out of the window leading the employee to believe that an attempt was made to take the monitor.

On September 25 at 8 a.m. on the 14100 block of SE 171st Way, a customer left his vehicle parked in a business parking lot and when he returned, the vehicle was missing. The customer was transported home.

On September 25 at 4:22 a.m. on the 22400 block of SE Wax Rd., an officer was dispatched to a driver passed out in a vehicle. Upon contact, the vehicle was found still running with its lights on. After several attempts were made to awaken the male driver, he finally woke and switched the vehicle off. The male refused to take the Field Sobriety Tests and while exiting the vehicle, he fell against it. An odor of intoxicants could be detected coming from the male. The male also refused breath tests. The male was booked into King County Jail for investigation of Being in Actual Physical Control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating Liquor and/or drugs.

On September 25 at 1 a.m. in the area of SE Petrovitsky Rd. and 140th Ave. SE, a driver was observed exceeding the speed limit. Upon contact, the female stated that she was driving a friend home. An odor of intoxicants could be detected coming from the inside of the vehicle. After failing the Field Sobriety Tests, the female provided breath tests of .119/.117. The female was released at home as well as was cited for DUI.

On September 24 at 4:03 p.m. in the area of SE Petrovitsky Rd. and 157th Ave. SE, a male with two felony warrants for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender was observed riding a bicycle without a helmet. When he was contacted, he gave a false name before admitting his true identity. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrants.

On September 23 at 2:58 p.m. on the 22200 block of 276th Ave. SE, it was reported that a couple of months ago a lawn tractor was stolen from a detached garage. The resident was not able to report the incident at the time due to medical issues.

Maple Valley

On September 27 at 12:30 p.m. on the 21900 block of SE Wax Rd., a citizen found a set of keys at a local park and turned the set over to officials at the Maple Valley Police Station.

On September 26 at 6 p.m. on the 26900 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, while walking to a vehicle in a business parking lot, the female owner of a vehicle stated that a dog in the vehicle next to hers stuck its head out of the window and bit her on the arm. The dog owner returned and stated the dog had all its required shots. Animal control was advised of the incident.

On September 26 at 1:22 a.m. on the 27600 block of 216th Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed exceeding the speed limit. Upon contact, the male, who stated he was in the process of getting his license, said that he was going to help a friend who had just run out of gas. Check of the male revealed he had a suspended license for failing to appear for unpaid ticket. The male was advised he would receive a ticket in the mail for speeding and no insurance. He was also recommended for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree. His relatives came to the location to drive the vehicle away from the scene.
